I grew up in Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley and moved to Fort Collins in 2008 after earning a Communications degree. My optical career began in 1999 as an optometric tech and receptionist. In 2004, I began working as an optical lab technician, and over the past 26+ years I’ve advanced to optical manager, gaining broad experience across lenses, frame styles, and technology.
I enjoy the problem-solving side of optics, especially the precision involved in adjusting and repairing glasses to improve patient comfort. Outside of work, I spend time with my wife and our pets—three cats (Cody, Barry, and Mina) and our dog, Lizzie. I also enjoy gaming, arthouse films, vinyl records, brunch outings, and riding my vintage motorcycle.
In addition, I volunteer with kids, introducing them to the creativity and teamwork of Dungeons & Dragons, which has become one of my favorite ways to give back.
