Meet the Staff: Dawn

Meet the Staff:

Dawn has been our Practice Administrator for the past two years and loves all the people she gets to work with.

French fries were hands down her favorite food when she was a kid. She loves the sound of flowing water, as long as it's not water running through pipes. If she could be immortal for a day she'd be a human guinea pig to help further scientific research.

As a child she'd get in trouble trying to mix together her mothers lotions, perfumes and kitchen liquids trying to get chemical reactions!

We are glad to have Dawn as a resource and leader here at ECA.

New Doctor: Dr. Lisa Schneider, OD FAAO

ECA would like to welcome the newest member of the team: Dr. Lisa Schneider who will begin seeing patients in September.

Lisa Schneider, O.D., F.A.A.O. graduated with honors from Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University in 2010. She is a native of Colorado and attended Colorado State University for her undergraduate studies. Dr. Schneider served as an optometrist for five years in the United States Navy prior to joining Eyecare Associates. During that time, she worked closely with traumatic brain injury programs and also deployed on a humanitarian mission to Vietnam, Cambodia, and the Philippines to provide eye care. She is a Fellow in the American Academy of Optometry and enjoys providing general family eye care to patients of all ages. Dr. Schneider enjoys spending time outdoors, camping, and traveling.

Meet the Staff: Patty

Patty has recently celebrated her 10th year with Eyecare Associates. She works as our surgery coordinator and as a patient care coordinator. She always enjoys meeting new patients.

Her favorite quote is "Things always happen for a reason." She'd like to know the answer to the age old questions: What happends after death? Her favorite question from patients is "Where are you from?" She says that the last thing that made her feel like a stronger person was the death of her husband. Her last primo meal was from Ocean Prime, she's a big fan of seafood. She misses the worry free life of being a child.

Gracias Patty for the time you've spent making ECA better.

Meet the Staff: David

Meet the Staff: David has been with Eyecare Associates for a month as an optician. His favorite thing about ECA so far is that all of his coworkers have been

fabulous and are dedicated to patients. His favorite indoor activity is reading and he enjoys 4 wheeling, camping and cycling in the great outdoors. He also enjoys listening to music.

If he were to win the lottery he would travel around the world. The first thing he ever bought with his own money was a console stereo/turntable at a garage sale with his paper route money.

We're excited about David joining the team and are sure that our patients will appreciate his experience when choosing their glasses.

Meet the Staff: Krista

Continuing with our series introducing our staff, we'd like you to meet a new member of the team: Krista.

She has been working at ECA for 4 1/2 weeks as an Optometric Technician. Her favorite thing about working at ECA is the awesome people she gets to work with.

Her least favorite thing is doing the dishes. Favorites include running and early mornings. If she won the lottery she would move all of her family from the east coast to Colorado. Growing up what got her into trouble the most was locking her sister in the pantry.

We're exctied to have her on board!

Continuing with our Meet the Staff updates, we'd like to introduce you to the lovely Leah who works as an Optometric and Contact Lens Technician.

She has been with ECA for 17 years and enjoys working with patients and feels that she has created some really special friendships over the years. She enjoys digital artwork and drawing, she's not half bad either. 😛 She loves to be outdoors skiing, sledding, swimming or biking,

When asked what she would like to learn someday, she said: "I would love to learn how to build furniture! There are so many things I design in my brain that I would love to see in my home!"

She misses Hawaii and swimming in the ocean at Makaha Beach like she did when she was a kid and would like to visit there again.

Next time you're in the office be sure to say hello!

Meet the Staff

We have a great staff here at ECA and would like to share a bit more about the people we're sure you've seen around the office. Our first introduction is for the darling Deedee.

Deedee has been with ECA for the past year and a half but has been working as an optician for 26 years.

Her favorite quote is: "I've always depended on the kindness of strangers" from A Streetcar Named Desire. She hates doing laundry but loves the sound of ocean waves.

If she could be any ficitonal character she would be Xena Warrior Princess. Her family always tells the story of a time she made cornbread without eggs, she has since been banned for cooking it. She recently moved to Colorado from Texas and we're certainly glad she did.

Her favorite pair of glasses currently is her yellow folding Rayban Wayfarer.
